BENGALURU: September is gone, but the rain has continued to keep its date with Bengaluru, which is witnessing one of its worst seasons this year. And, the weatherman has predicted more rain for at least another four days.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department(IMD), rain will continue to lash south interior Karnataka, including Bengaluru, up to October 9. “On Thursday and Friday there will be isolated but heavy rainfall in these parts. On the third day, there will be scattered rainfall, and on the fourth and fifth days there will be fairly widespread rainfall,” IMD director Sunder Metri said.
Metri says the predictions are based on the cyclonic circulation over the east and central Arabian Sea, off the Karnataka-North Kerala coast, and the likelihood of a low-pressure zone developing over the northern Bay of Bengal and the neighbouring areas during the next 48 hours.
