If there be a slice of Hawaii in Bangalore, it is here, it is here, it is here! Raise your tiki glasses to the new kid in town — Three Dots and a Dash.
Bamboo shoots and dim yellow lighting. Waiters walking past holding dishes that trail after them in an aromatic train of mist. And my personal favorite is – the Tiki glasses.
Located in the organized chaos that is 100 Ft Road, Indiranagar, you cannot miss this resto-bar as you drive past its lit bamboos and the music is a head turner.
Barely five-months-old and this place is already buzzing with a young crowd, all in high spirits. Considered to be Bengaluru’s first Tiki Bar, where one can just eat, drink and unwind – ‘Hawaii style’.
It’s about the Presentation
The presentation is a major part of your experience here. The drinks arrive, served in a Tiki glass and simply oozing with the dreamy puffs of liquid nitrogen, a la Masterchef. The Three Dots and a Dash fruit mocktail was my favorite taste-wise and served a delightful punch of all things fruity in the right balance.
The vegetarian nachos and salsa is a hearty dish, a good old favorite you cannot go wrong with. They never fail to combine flavors you could’ve sworn would taste a bit odd elsewhere, and absolutely nail it. The honey soy sauce that is served with almost every dish is a testament to that, and we loved it so much that we asked for a small portion at the end.
The main course is also pretty good. The dish that stole my heart is prawn and saffron rice, which was comforting, creamy and aromatic – it’s one of those dishes that will remain with you no matter where you go.
What you should come here for is the experience, the presentation, and just a couple hours off – away from your mundane life and into a portal to Hawaii.
