Sonika was with actor Vikram Chatterjee in a car when the mishap took place on April 29. Police is examining the CCTV footages to ascertain whether driving under the influence of liquor probably led to the accident.
About 10 days after actor Sonika Chauhan died in a road mishap in Kolkata, apparently caused due to drunken driving, the city police has seized all CCTV footages from three clubs and bars in the city.
Sonika was travelling in a car with Bengali actor Vikram Chatterjee, who if locals are to be believed, was driving the vehicle when the accident took place in the early hours on April 29. While Sonika died, Vikram was discharged from the hospital after being administered first aid.
Police is examining the CCTV footages to ascertain whether driving under the influence of alcohol led to the mishap.
Vikram said that he was having a drink at a party that he had attended with Sonika a little before the accident took place. It is yet to be established whether the drink was liquor or a soft drink.
